Multi-resistant germs, against which many antibiotics are ineffective, are transmitted through our hands in up to 90 percent of all cases. Gloves can prevent such transmission.
While latex and vinyl gloves have good resistance to a wide variety of alkalis and acids, they are permeable to oils and many solvents. Nitrile gloves, on the other hand, offer optimal protection against many chemicals and oils. The penetration time also depends on the so-called wall thickness, which can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Wearers with a latex allergy prefer the more compatible nitrile gloves, which are more comfortable to wear.
Use of gloves
Use medical gloves when your hands can touch body fluids, dangerous drugs, or potentially contaminated objects.
